Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens Wedding | Savannah, GA

Sierra and Aaron chose the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens for their June wedding, and I am thrilled they did! I am a gardener, flower lover, tree-hugger, and I am quite home and as happy as can be in a beautiful botanical garden. This one sure did not disappoint. The ceremony space was so dreamy with the white pergola, white chairs, and of course surrounded by the most beautiful landscaping. The white flowered crape myrtles surrounded the space, and framed the beginning of the “aisle” for the bridal party to walk through. It was just perfect.

These two have been through so much together, including a long distance relationship, and heartbreaking losses. They traveled all over the world due to Aaron’s service in the Air Force, until last year when his service came to an end. I know they are are so thankful and happy to be not only in the same town, but that they are able to stay put for a while! There is no doubt how much these two love each other, and how very happy they make each other.

The photos below will tell the story of this amazing day. Non-stop fun and laughter. It was really a great day and I was so happy to be a part of it.

The guys and girls got ready at different hotels across from the gardens. Don’t you love Aaron’s chicken socks?

I love these fun bridesmaid photos! All the girls piled on the bed, in their pretty “Bride Tribe” robes, which were gifts from the bride.

Sierra’s dress was so gorgeous, and she was absolutely stunning in it. It had to be laced up rather than buttoned. Mom and aunt helped her get all tightened up!

I think my favorite “bridesmaid first look” photo ever— I love how I was able to capture Sierra as well as the girls! Ahhh the anticipation!

What an entrance!

Here you can see Sierra holding a stack of letters– all the letters that Aaron wrote to her in the times they had to live apart. So very sweet and thoughtful.

The rings– Sierra’s dad actually MADE the rings himself out of titanium airplane parts!

The bride had this exact spot in mind for this photo from the beginning. What a beautiful place!

Slightly different angle– always looking for the foreground which always adds interest to a photo!

I forgot to mention Sierra is a competitive ballroom dancer!! Look at that pointed toe!

Beautiful choreographed first dance! Sierra did the “Twist” with dad, and mom and Aaron danced to “Stand By Me”. I have 3 sons myself, so I ALWAYS cry at that one.

YMCA- you could’ve guessed!

Incredible cake by Wicked Cakes! The bride especially was so excited about the flavor of the top tier of this cake- which she said was “hers!”. I do remember it had whiskey in it!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a cake fight at a wedding! They were so sweet at first, then it was ON! The icing on Aaron’s face was actually thrown at him- that was some good aim!

All the guests are here (or at least supposed to be!)! They are holding glittery 202020 numbers that the girls made just for this photo.

What would a wedding be without the Chicken Dance?

Lots of love, fun, laughter, and great memories for everyone. Congratulations again Sierra and Aaron, thank you again for choosing me!
