Elopement at The Gastonian | Savannah Wedding Photographer

Libby and Taylor were married at one of Savannah’s quaint little historic inns, The Gastonian! They traveled from Mississippi to elope on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and it ended up being the most perfect (almost) Spring day!! Azaleas everywhere, new bright green leaves, mossy oaks, ivy steps, and sunshine!!! My plan was to take them to a square for portraits, but we didn’t even need to leave the sidewalk! I can’t help but fall in love with this gorgeous city every single day!

These two were seriously the most fun and giddy couple. There were more laughs in this short and sweet 1.5 hour celebration, than in most full wedding days! They are just SO comfortable with each other, laughing and smiling constantly. OK, some of it had to do with the awkwardness they both feel in photos (though just look at them, you wouldn’t know it!!). Libby wanted “just a few of the ceremony, and just a few photos after”. I told her she will have to cut me off, because I can’t take “just a few” photos of a bride and groom– really of anyone for that matter! Sure enough, Taylor did speak up when he’d had enough, though I could have followed them around all day! They were ready to get their fancy clothes off, and their DRINK ON downtown! I know they will love these, and be happy I did take so many!
