Brooklet Family Farm Wedding

Many congratulations to Catherine and Cameron!!! They were surrounded by their closest family and friends on a lovely Sunday evening, as they became husband and wife! The ceremony and dinner afterwards took place on their family farm in the small town of Brooklet, GA, about an hour from Savannah.

Imagine a grove of pecan trees, acres of cotton just beginning to bloom, a pond, and two beautiful old farmhouses. The ceremony was held in front of the oldest, built in 1910 by Catherine’s great great grandfather! It will soon be taken down to make room for a new house, so the ceremony and photos in this location were very special to the family.

Catherine and her sweet stepdad Bradley were given a ride to the aisle by her Pa in his old John Deere tractor. She was the most stunning bride I have ever seen. A beautiful set of old wooden doors taken from the house were set up at the entrance to the isle and remained closed until THE moment! “Fall Into Me” by Brantley Gilbert played as the doors were opened, and Cameron got to see his bride for the first time. They slowly walked down the rose petal-lined aisle, to her hubby to be, and Bradley gave her away. There were not many dry eyes at that moment, including my own. They wrote their own beautiful vows to each other which is always so emotional. After they exchanged rings, and were pronounced man and wife, the happy couple hitched a ride on that old John Deere! Everyone followed behind and headed to the Farmhouse for photos, fellowship, and a delicious dinner catered by The ShellHouse.

We had a bit of rain through the day, but nothing too serious. Cloudy days are actually great for photos! Then after dinner we had a RAINBOW, and the most beautiful sunset! If rain on a wedding day is good luck, then rain AND a rainbow must mean something super special!

I have said it before, but Catherine and Cameron, and their crazy, hilarious, loving, accepting family are my favorite clients! I am feeling more like part of the family, not simply their photographer. We have been through many special moments together- gender reveal, bridal shower, proposal, wedding, birth very soon (YAY!), and family sessions in the future. Because I’ve been by her side in all these life-changing moments, Catherine and I have a developed a very strong bond, that I feel will last a lifetime! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Catherine, Cameron, and family for trusting me with these memories. Thank you for your ALL of your love, support, and kind words over the last several months. It means more to me than you’ll ever know!! Y’all make this photographer’s heart so happy!!

Love Always,

Amber
