Tybee Island Wedding Chapel Wedding | Savannah Wedding Photographer
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Garrison!! Caitlin and Sam were married at one of the most gorgeous venues in Savannah, the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel and Grand Ballroom, on Tybee! Family and friends from many states all across the country made the trip to show their love, and it was overflowing from that chapel on that lovely first Saturday in May.
Getting Ready:
Caitlin wore an elegant white gown from BHLDN, with the most beautiful lace back. She chose blue shoes to match her bridesmaids soft blue dresses, and their blue and white hydrangea bouquets. I love hydrangeas, and to have them in a bouquet made this photographer very happy!! Her bridesmaids, including her sister Kelsey, and new sister in law, Hannah, first wore matching floral robes which is always fun for photos. The guys wore blue suits with vests and white shirts from Mens’ Warehouse. Sam’s tie was white and his guys’ ties were blue. They also had Sam’s niece, Savannah, and nephew, Mac, as the teeny ring bearer and flower girl. A baby in a seersucker suit is about the cutest thing ever.
First Look:
Caitlin and Sam chose to do a first look before the ceremony, which I always LOVE! They got to share sweet, private moments (and take some pretty photos!) together before over a hundred eyes were on them, anxiously awaiting Sam’s reaction when he sees his bride walk through those doors. His face lit up like a Christmas tree, and he couldn’t keep his eyes off his gorgeous soon-to-be wife. They read hand-written letters, and enjoyed each other for just a moment before it was time!
Ceremony:
The ceremony was short and sweet, and the chapel could not have been any more perfect! It was lined with silver candle-lit lanterns , and silver and blue flower petals dropped by the flower girl (in the arms of her mom!). There were large flower arrangements besides the doors, and in the front, and the dark wood floor, pews and beams in the ceiling paired so beautifully with the light walls and amazing chandeliers! It is a stunning chapel, and I was looking so forward to this day for over a year!
After lots of family photos and cocktail hour, the newly married couple was introduced for the first time! They entered to the Star Wars theme, and walked under a light saber arch created by their bridal party! There traditional dances, dinner made by M&M Catering out of Florida (personal friend of the family), hilarious and heart-felt champagne toasts from Caitlin’s dad, the Maid of Honor, and Best Man, and cake-cutting, then it was time to PARTY! I grabbed just a few more photos of the couple outside, since the rain and TORNADO warnings were over, including a couple in front of the cutest bus from Low Country Valet! This bus transported family and friends to and from the hotel. What a stylish ride! Leopold’s Ice Cream was definitely a highlight for all of us with sweet teeth, with several flavors and all the toppings (and top notch dance skills!)! VIP Disc Jockey Entertainment did an awesome job keeping the party going all night!! Those guys are so much fun, and I hope to work with them again soon! From Love Shack and the Wobble (my personal favorite!), to the FSU fight songs and chants. The dance floor was pretty packed most of the night, and they even had to move some tables to make it bigger! That’s always a good thing!
